Ham and Bean Soup is a great freeze-down recipe to make a quick dinner later on.
This recipe uses home made chicken broth which we described before.

8 c Chicken Broth
1 1/4 lb Ham
2 slice Bacon
1 lb Navy Beans
2 medium Carrots
1 medium Onion
2 medium Potatoes
1/2 tsp White Pepper
3 clove Garlic
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp Salt
1 tsp Seasoned Salt
Instructions
Pour broth into crock pot and turn on heat.
Add Ham Roast whole.
Slice bacon into small chunks and add to the broth.
Add Beans (no need to soak beans before use).
Slice and add vegetables
Add spices, top of with water and cook on high for about 5-7 hours.
Temp soup (should be over 165F).
Taste test and add more spices as needed.
Pull out ham roast and pull it apart with two forks.
Return pulled pork back into soup.
Let cook another 30 minutes or longer.
