This recipe teaches us how to make homemade tacos including the shell with common ingredients.

Tacos
Yield: 4 servings
Cooking Time: 1/2 hour
Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

1 Tbsp Chili Powder
1 Tbsp Paprika
3/4 tsp Cumin
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
1 lb Ground Beef or other meat
1 Clove Garlic
2 Mini Peppers
1/2 Shallot
2 Cups Flour
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
2 Tbsp Coconut Oil
3/4 Cup Water

Instructions

Taco Seasoning:
Mix Chili Powder, Paprika, Cumin, 1/2 tsp Salt, Garlic Powder.
This can be created in bulk stored in an air-tight jar to save time later.
Tacos:
Add 2 1/2 Tbsp Taco Seasoning to 1 lb Ground Beef or other meat
Cover with water and simmer
Dice Onion and Garlic and add those to the taco meat.
Dice Pepper and set aside.
When most of the water is boiled off, add the peppers
Soft Taco Shell:
Mix Flour, Baking Powder, 1/2 tsp Salt together.
Add Coconut Oil and combine by hand until consistent
Add water and stir first with a butter knife until mix is mostly combined
Kneed by hand about 3 minutes
Cut and roll into 1 inch balls
Cover counter with flour and flatten balls with rolling pin until 7-8 in wide
Cook on skillet until bubbly one side, flip and repeat
Do not over cook as shells will get hard.
